Discover 5 experiences to try out this winter with your family, friends, partner or even solo.
A souvenir of your best tricks
In the heart of the Grand-Bornand snowpark in Haute-Savoie, will you dare to try the Big Airbag? Open to all free of charge, the Big Airbag lets you try out all kinds of tricks without any danger, thanks to the giant airbag.
And to take home a souvenir you’ll be proud to show off to your friends, discover the “VidéoParkGB”. This video device is installed on the structure, and thanks to an automatic capture system, every jump is filmed, allowing skiers and snowboarders looking to progress to review their tricks from different angles.
The technology goes even further, offering instant analysis of movements, ideal for perfecting tricks. It’s easy to discover after every run! Find out all the details here.
Buzz and get on!
Connected tools in ski areas aren’t just for downhill skiing. At Val d’Allos le Seignus, in the Southern Alps, the spotlight is on ski touring, with a fun concept to challenge yourself: the buzzer.
The solar-powered buzzer is located at the bottom of the course. It’s as simple as buzzing and off you go! Another buzzer awaits you at the finish to tell you how long you’ve been up the hill. It’s a simple, fun challenge to do on your own or with a friend. Find out more about the routes here.
XXL selfies to share
At Peyragudes in the Pyrenees,a camera installed at the finish of the Privilège chairlift lets you share spectacular videos with the Cap des Hittes (the highest peak at 2400m) as a background.
Much more than just a photo on a chairlift, all you have to do is download the WEBAPP application using the QR code on the arrival point or on the piste map, and you’ll receive a full video by email with the most beautiful peaks in the Pyrenees as a backdrop. A unique souvenir to share on social networks!
Where will you be in the rankings at the end of the day?
Do you have a competitive spirit? If so, Chamrousse in Isère has just what you need. Discover the “Chamrousse Ski Challenge”, integrated into the “Chamrousse by Skitude” mobile application.
This connected challenge lets skiers and snowboarders take on a challenge with friends or on their own, while discovering the ski area interactively.
The principle is simple: activate the GPS tracker and join the challenge to try and cover as many kilometres as possible in one day. After that, everything is automatic and your performance is recorded: distance covered, speed, duration of activity… to establish a ranking in real time.
To make the experience even better, participants at the top of the rankings can win ski or toboggan passes. And because it’s always important to take part, prizes are also drawn to reward other participants, whatever their level. Find out more here.
Thrills in the warmth
Connected solutions in the mountains are also accessible to non-skiers. At Les Orres, in the Southern Alps, the Pôle Sport Innovation (an indoor sports and leisure complex) offers 5 virtual reality simulators, so you can experience activities you may never have dared try.
And there’s something for everyone, with 5 disciplines available: downhill skiing, canoeing, paragliding, speed riding (winter) and speed flying (summer). For each discipline, there are several modes available, so you can measure yourself against the exploits of the champions of the sport, as well as more leisurely routes, for a whole host of sensations to discover.
